Hai Ya, Chiang Mai: Neighborhood Guide
The local's favorite — bordering the Old City, Chang Klan, and Mahidol Road, close to the airport, where major commercial roads lace into winding residential sois. You can get a little bit of everything here. Housing is a mix of apartments and local-style homes, walkable-ish and friendly to a bicycle or motorbike. Its signature is Wua Lai Road and the Saturday Walking Street from Chiang Mai Gate, and the standout landmark is Weave Artisan Society — a converted warehouse with a cafe, craft-beer bar, chocolaterie, and gallery.
